One of the most colorful personalities to ever come out of Appalachia was a media savvy self-made grocer, radio and tv host and Tennessee politician by the name of Cas Walker. He was an outspoken man, as evidenced by his call to “whoop the hell out of ’em,” in reference to some shoplifters at one of his stores, which you can see by clicking the video above.
