Today we tell the story of the man who led the most successful Confederate raid on American territory during the Civil War, leading his men into battle throughout Indiana and Ohio. Afterwards, General John Hunt Morgan met his end at the hands of Union soldiers in Greeneville, Tennessee.

  1. Great historical story told by some real good story tellers. I go to Lexington quite often and will have a look for the Hunt Morgan Cemetery next visit I have time. Interesting that he had three funerals and disinterments. Also interesting that he has history in Abingdon, near Wise County where I live. Thanks for sharing this story.
