In 1777 two girls, Polly Alley, of Dungannon, and Jane Whittaker, from Castle’s Woods (Castlewood), were captured by Cherokee led by Chief Benge and taken north to a Shawnee town in Ohio. The girls eventually made a daring escape, and that’s the story we tell on this YouTube video.
