Grandfather Mountain is one of the most popular tourist destinations in western North Carolina, and has been for decades.  It’s also a world heritage site for the protection of the plants and animals native to the area.  That’s all because of the work done by Hugh Morton, one time owner of Grandfather Mountain.  Today we tell that story.
